Arch
Bronze, 2025
Part of the Drift series
Arch occupies a liminal space between landscape and body, its contours recalling the sweep of mountains while quietly alluding to the erotic. In keeping with the Drift series, it draws on elemental forces—not simply as subject matter, but as structuring principles that shape form and meaning. Here, motion is implied rather than depicted, residing in the tension between ascent and curve, gravity and lift. The work engages in a dialogue about the sensuality of form itself—how the same line can hold the permanence of stone and the vulnerability of flesh, and how abstraction can heighten, rather than obscure, intimacy.
