Jeri

Named after Jericoacoara in Brazil, Jeri originated from an encounter on the beach with a capoeira dancer. His body moved through astonishing feats of strength and contortion, yet it was in the quiet of rest—crouched, veins still pulsing—that the truest expression appeared.

The sculpture captures that moment of contained power: a body at once exhausted and ready, disciplined yet unguarded. In bronze, it becomes both an emblem of Brazil’s extremes and a reflection of its history—intensity distilled into stillness, strength revealed through repose.
